About   SZABIST

SZABIST (http://www.szabist.edu.pk/) is a Chartered Institute established through an Act of Sindh Assembly of Pakistan and is approved and recognized by the Higher Education Commission as a degree granting institution. SZABIST is a registered member of the International Association of Universities (IAU), Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW), Asia University Federation (AUF) and the Association of SAARC Universities (ASU).

 BusinessWeek, the leading international business magazine, in its latest online edition     http://www.businessweek.com/bschools/02/geographic.htm#asia) has  listed     SZABIST among the  best business schools of the world. SZABIST is listed   along with other top schools of the world including Wharton, Kellogg, Harvard and MIT. SZABIST is one of the 20 business schools from Asia recognized by BusinessWeek .

SZABIST is also ranked among the best Science and Technology and MBA schools in Asia by the CNN-Time publication Asiaweek. In fact, SZABIST has the unparalleled honor of being the only Pakistani Institute to be listed in both categories in such prestigious publications (BusinessWeek and Asiaweek).

SZABIST has two campuses in Pakistan: Karachi and Islamabad. SZABIST has now opened a branch campus at the Knowledge Village, Dubai. SZABIST Dubai will be offering the same academic programs as for SZABIST Pakistan. Current degree offerings include BS Computer Sciences, BBA, MS Computer Sciences and MBA and the LLB (University of London External Programme).

The first academic year at SZABIST Dubai will begin in September 2003. Each academic year consists of the Fall Semester (September - December), Spring Semester (January - May), and the Summer Session (June - July).

The semesters are of 16 week duration, and summer of 8 week duration.
